FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- A Fort Wayne based non-profit agency is reaching out to a Kendallville couple trying to save their home from foreclosure.

But is the effort too little, too late?

Indiana’s NewsCenter brought you the emotional story of Bill and Robin Needham on Friday.

They are downcast and disgusted that a three-year battle with mortgage giant Countrywide Loans is ending with the seizure of their home.

The Needhams have until November 20th to move out.

The trouble started in 2006 when Bill Needham was off work for about a year due to a back surgery.

The couple made several payments that Countrywide failed to acknowledge leading up to the foreclosure.

Our story on Friday caught the eye of Mike Davis with Pathfinder Services in Fort Wayne, an agency that provides aid to homeowners facing a foreclosure crisis.

Davis has committed to contacting a Countrywide executive, to try and work something out, at no charge to the Needhams.

Robin Needham/Losing Home to Foreclosure: " I always felt like, you know, there has to be one more thing I haven't tried, so now at least, even if my house isn't saved, I can say I tried everything to save it."

Mike Davis/Pathfinder Services: " We don't want to get down to the foreclosure sale and find we've got to rush to try to do something, but the sooner we can reach out to people and get to them to contact us, the better off we're going to be."

Davis says don't wait until the foreclosure notice comes in the mail, if you're having trouble making house payments, contact his agency early on.
